Your engine is a violent place. Metal parts move against other metal parts so quickly that without a thin layer of oil between them, the friction created would cause them to weld together and shut your engine down within a matter of minutes. The clearance gaps between these parts can be very thin. For example, the clearance gap between a piston and it's cylinder is only about a quarter of a millimeter. If enough of the sludge that collects in your engine over time were to get in that gap you would have costly repairs in your future.
When we change your oil we release the old oil and sludge then replace it with new clean oil so that your engine can keep running smoothly.
If required between oil changes, our team will top off your engine oil with the same type oil between 3k miles with a limit. Also included: Same-type oil top off in between services if odemetoer reads under 3,000 miles since last service – limit 2 quarts.
